How to log in to your DD-WRT router
- 1 Connect your computer to any LAN port on the DD-WRT flashed router.
- 2 Open your web browser and navigate to http://192.168.1.1.
- 3 On first boot, DD-WRT prompts you to choose an Administrator Username and Password.
- 4 For SSH/Telnet access, use Username: root and your newly created admin password.
🔄 How to Hard Reset DD-WRT Router to Factory Defaults
If you forgot your customized admin password or cannot reach the web portal, locate the physical RESET pinhole button on the back of your DD-WRT router. While powered on, press and hold the button with a paperclip for 10 to 15 seconds until the power LED begins flashing. Release the button and wait 2 minutes for the unit to reboot with factory default credentials (User: root / Pass: admin).
